Apply for Medicare

Also called Part A, this covers hospitalization, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care and home health care.

You’re eligible for Medicare when:

You’re at least 65 years old, or under 65 and qualify based on disability or other special situation, AND
You’re a U.S. citizen or legal resident, who has lived in the U.S. for at least five consecutive years.

Apply for Part B

Covers your primary care, specialists, outpatient surgery and visits, ambulance transportation, some durable medical equipment, lab work and x-rays.

You can apply for Part B coverage at the same time as Part A, or within other approved enrollment periods.

Apply for Part C

May include extra benefits like prescription drug coverage (also known as Part D), vision, hearing, dental, transportation to medical appointments and access to fitness programs.

Part C goes beyond the basics of Medicare Parts A and B, to provide additional benefits, and is offered through private insurance providers (also known as Medicare Advantage Plans).
